Domaine Jaquiéry is a
specialist Pinot Noir vineyard situated in the cool climate viticultural
region of Central Otago, New
Zealand.
A small proprietor
owned vineyard situated 18km from Wanaka along the Wanaka - Cromwell Rd.
The 5 hectare vineyard is planted in Clones 5, 10/5 and 115 on shallow
sandy loams over gravel and stones. The vineyard is 250m above seal level
in the rain shadow of the Southern Alps.
It receives around 250mm of rain annually and averages 1100 Growing Degree
Days (GDD) with large diurnal temperature swings in autumn producing a long
slow ripening period.
